Images of Boerne magazine, sponsored by the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, was awarded Journal Communications highest honor for feature design at the companys annual Quality Awards competition. A Tour of Texas Circa 1876 represented the best of more than 100 publications produced last year by Journal Communications in cooperation with chambers of commerce and economic development organizations across the country.
The layout featured a dramatic four-page pictorial of Enchanted Springs Ranch in the Texas Hill Country just outside of Boerne.
At the annual awards ceremony held recently in Brentwood, Tenn., designer Candice Hulsey received a Haley, named for Alex Haley (1921-1992), Journal Communications co-founder and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Roots.
